Detailed description of Barton Creek Resort -Fazio Foothills

Barton Creek Resort -Fazio Foothills, is a Resort, 18 hole golf course located in Austin, Texas.

The Fazio Foothills Golf Course first opened for play in 1986. The course was designed by Tom Fazio.

Natural limestone caves, waterfalls and fairways lined with dramatic cliffs and native trees all contribute to the visual impact of the Fazio Foothills, while the rolling terrain with frequent changes in elevation add to its many challenges for golfers. Creeks, streams and ponds figure into play on as many as seven holes. With five different sets of tees, the Foothills allow golfers at every level to dial in their challange.

Black tees: par-72, 7,085 yards, course rating 74.0, slope rating 138.

Gold tees: par-72, 6,684 yards, course rating 72.1, slope rating 133.

Blue tees: par-72, 6,290 yards, course rating 70.5, slope rating 130.

White tees: par-72, 5,900 yards, course rating 68.9, slope rating 127.

White tees(W): par-72, 5,900 yards, course rating 73.8, slope rating 127.

Play as a member/guest not a resort guest for best price, or get a package deal at the resort. One of 3 courses each day is designated for BCCC members only with better pace of play. Greens were punched last week, so they discounted fee. Enjoy the elevation.

Would travel: 120-300 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area

Rough was too high, due to high rains and not recently cut. Fairways just cut and a lot of loose grass. Many greens are damaged and were fuzzy cut.

Would travel: 0-10 Miles, Vacation Worthy
Bottom line: I would play again, Better than average course for the area, Fair priced based on quality and competitive area pricing
